Photoshop Assignment
In this assignment, you should create a picture of yourself that has been made using layers. This picture should feature an image of yourself placed into an unlikely, unique or impossible location.
There should be at least six objects on six layers, including the picture of yourself, and you should try to make it look as “realistic” as possible, given the imaginary nature of the picture! You might place yourself at the North Pole, for example, climbing the Eiffel Tower, jumping over the moon … or simply standing beside a celebrity as they win an Oscar. At least one layer should contain text (your name) and any additional comment(s) if you wish.
Pay special attention to the edges of objects, shadows and lighting as well as to the proportions of your objects. Use filters and layer effects to enhance your image.
There are many, many tools that are available in Photoshop, and I encourage you to explore them. Please, have fun with this assignment and feel free to use your imagination!

Submit your assignment as follows:
- Save your file in a Photoshop format (PSD); then using SAVE FOR WEB, create a .JPG file as well.
- Post your .jpg version on your website.
- Put both the .JPG and .PSD files together into one zipped file.
- Post your Photoshop files in Stuffit or Zip format. A note on creating compressed files on the Mac: The easiest way is to CTRL-Click on the folder, and then choose “Create Archive”. That should create a zip file. If Stuffit is installed, it will also be visible on that menu.
